[update] 3g iPhone icon in new SDK release ?

As you can see below, this post is tagged “Major Grains of Salt.” It seems as though some readers from out neighboring forums have dug around the new iPhone SDK and found an icon that looks eerily similar to pictures and recent rumors about the upcoming 3g iPhone. The new icon also looks rather different from other device (specifically iPhone and iPod Touch) icons included in the Apple SDK.

The image is scaled up a TON, so it can’t be taken too seriously. We download the SDK releases and the icon is definitely there. Either way, it definitely seems like all the information leading up to the 3g release is beginning to line up.

[updates] Zibri, the Italian developer who created ZiPhone (a tool which unlocks your iphone in a matter of minutes), has dug around the new iPhone SDK release and has found evidence of the chipset that will be used in the next generation 3G iPhone

The Infineon SGOLD3H, (we can only assume SGOLD stands for “Solid Gold” the great 80’s television show) supports speeds of 7.2Mbps, cameras up to 5-megapixels, MPEG4/H.263 hardware acceleration, video telephony, live recording and two-way video calls.
