3G iPhone and iPhone App Store Available Immmediately Monday, June 9th.

Officially sanctioned third-party iPhone applications are slated to be released as early as Monday June 9th, which directly correlates with Jobs’ keynote speech at Moscone West at the annual World Wide Developer Conference put on by Apple.

CNet reports:

“A source at a software company that has been working on a native iPhone application tells us the company is getting ready to launch that application on Monday, which could also imply that Apple’s App Store will be up and running that day.”

Apple’s 3G iPhone is once again the most coveted and buzzed about electronic device of the year. Rumors have been swirling with Gizmodo nailing down this coming Monday June 9th, as the official release date. If Apple were to release only one iPhone every year, it would remain on top of the tech industry’s buzz-o-meter continuously. Apple’s marketing machine is running on all cylinders and there is absolutely no looking back. Shareholders, get ready, Apple shares see an average of 4% boost around major events… And this one, is major.

Since the release of iPhone 1.0, Apple has been under tremendous pressure from the community and developers to open up the iPhone and let EVERYONE who can develop applications for the device, do just that. Apple is usually pretty good about listening to us, their customers, and they released a beta SDK (Software Development Kit) as well as announced an official 3rd-party application store for the iPhone and iPod Touch (which will be moderated by Apple). Steve Jobs proclaims that the iPhone is “so much more than just a phone” and that Apple is “an amazing platform company…the iPhone is a wonderful platform!” well, he’s right. Venture Capitalist firm KPCB also agrees, and has launched the iFund. The iFund is a $100 million investment fund devoted towards startups focused on developing applications for the iPhone and iPod Touch.

Based on the rumor mill, and rather trusted sources, here’s what you can expect come this Monday:

- iPhone App Store Released
- 3G iPhone available immediately
- Steve Jobs’ much-anticipated keynote speech (9am-12pm)

Monday, Monday, Monday !!!
