[Poll] Some Aussies may get stuck at a crossroads.

Gizmodo Australia is reporting that as the supply of iPhone 3G’s are dwindling, there has not been a large demand for the white 16GB model.  The preferred black model is reported to be running low on stock, which may pose a conundrum for some.

Those in the back of the line outside of an Optus branch in Sydney are being told that they may unfortunately be stuck with the femme version, if they choose to take one at all.

“Given the store had 500 units to begin with, and close to 200 up its sleeve, there is a very clear preference for black over white. Even at a roughly even distribution of 8GB and each of the two 16GB varieties it is sounding like the white is turning out to be very unpopular.”

This would be a rather undesirable situation to be stuck in. I for one am not a big fan of the white model 16GB and would not be happy to have to choose between that or nothing.
