Upcoming 2nd-Gen iPod touch and 4th-Gen iPod nano Specs Revealed

Possible dimensional images for both the 4G iPod nano and second generation iPod touch have recently surfaced, hinting that the devices will have similar measurements to their predecessors yet will boast updated shapes and features.

The images of the 4G iPod nano indicate that the device stands at 90.75mm tall by 38.75mm wide by 6.08mm deep, compared to the second generation nano that measured in at 90mm x 40mm x 6.5mm. The measurements reveal that this will be the thinnest iPod nano to date, yet will sport the ovular body shape similar to, yet more pronounced than its predecessor. The images appear to discredit the notion that the iPod nano screen will be curved to fit the contours of the body shape.

The second generation iPod touch is shown to have a similar shape to the iPhone 3G. The device is shown to measure 111mm tall by 61.8mm wide and 8.4mm deep, slightly thicker than the first generation iPod touch. The sketches show what appear to be volume controls on the device’s left side, a possible antenna enclosure on the top left and a Dock Connector port on its bottom.
