A big event for Apple products. Apple revamped its entire iPod line, released some new premium headphones, unveiled iTunes 8, and released a rather massive iPhone Software Update to version 2.1, as well announced the long awaited return of NBC to iTunes, in HD this time.

Rumored October 14th “Special Event”

New rumors have trickled in regarding another “Special Media Event” to be held on October 14th. The Event would be used as a showcase for Apple to release a completely revamped line of notebook computers.

Apple Airs Two New Commercials – “Funnest” and “nano-chromatic”

In support of the two new core iPod models released, Apple had two brand new commercials which aired this week.

Apple Finally Settles Backdating Lawsuit

The National Law Journal revealed court documents that confirm Apple CEO Steve Jobs, along with other members of Apple’s current and former management team, have agreed to pay up to $14 million to resolve the 20 outstanding investor derivative law suites over backdated stock options.

MacWorld 2009 Registration Officially Opens, New Cinema Displays Rumored

Registration for Apple’s annual MacWorld Expo & Conference officially opened this week. Some changes at this year’s event include only those with a “Premium Pass” will be able to attend the keynote. It will no longer be on a first come, first serve basis to hear Apple CEO Steve Jobs’ keynote. Additionally, rumors that the New Cinema Displays will be unveiled at MacWorld ‘09 have resurfaced.
